An Excellent Example of Isaiah 5:20
Isaiah 5:20- Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
This was a recent quote given at the World Economic Forum in Davos Switzerland. It is dripping with arrogance and is completely misguided, and a profound illustration for our time since the WEF has become a defining coordinating body for formally sovereign nations as they take their “queues” from this gathering as somehow the most intelligent guidance on the planet.
The GOOD NEWS is that the elites across the world
trust each other more and they can come together
and design and do many “beautiful things” together.
The BAD NEWS is than in every single country they
were polling the majority trusted their elites less.
With the exception of the communist and Marxist countries around the world, the Western democracies are generally operated by a consent of the governed. Nowhere is that more pronounced than in the Constitutional Republic known as the United States of America. It’s instructive to review God’s word in light of this arrogant pronouncement made at the World Economic Forum.
Isaiah 5:20-21
[20] Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! [21] Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes And clever in their own sight!
